My Favorite Songs To Play That I Didn't Write

First off, thanks to all the great folks who were at my shows over the weekend. Truly enjoyable evenings, both (for me, anyway). Some photos from the Sunday show.

And now, here is a list of a few of my favorite songs to play that are not mine. I am not particularly good about talking between songs at the shows, so it's only fair that I give a little credit here.

Jolene, by Ray LaMontagne.

Sweetness, by Drew Holcomb.

Ingrid Bergman, written by Woody Guthrie, performed by Wilco and Billy Bragg.

Nobody Knows Me, by Lyle Lovett.

Butterfly Wing, by Jon Dee Graham.

I Wouldn't Miss It For The World, by Johnathan Rice.

Such Great Heights, by The Postal Service and then Iron & Wine (duh).

Flyswatter / Ice Water Blues, by Lyle Lovett.

Who's Going To Shoe Your Pretty Feet, by Richard Hawley.

Lua, by Bright Eyes.

So, if you ever hear me play some song, and it sounds kinda nice and well-written, you may be able to safely assume it's one of the above.

Ah…and here all this time I thought you had talent. Way to sneak that right past us all.
