Area Man Looks Up Name Of Governor On Wikipedia
Richfield, MN (AP) - Benjamin Stockwell, 24, has never been called a genius. Still, even he was surprised to find himself unable to recall the name of his own state's governor recently."I remember that for awhile it was that wrestler guy, and then it was some pale skinny dude. I guess it's still him," said Stockwell after finding governor Tim Pawlenty's name on the Wikipedia article for Minnesota.
As a surprising side effect of his brief research online, Stockwell also found the names of his state's two senators, Mark Dayton and Norm Coleman, and learned that the state is made up of 8.4% water and its highest point is Eagle Mountain. He says he now intends to find ways to slip his newly found knowledge into everyday conversations with friends and co-workers.
"I actually think I saw that Norm Coleman guy at the airport one time awhile back," Stockwell said. "He was reading a Grisham novel."
Pawlenty was elected governor of Minnesota in 2002, following Jesse Ventura's single term as governor. He is running for re-election this year.
